Connecting branch office
to main office PBX IPTC's Albatross concept is
a stepping stone to the future. It enables spreading
out of Ericsson DTSs (Digital Telephone Sets) via Internet, while keeping
them connected to the same
main office PBX.
How does it work? DEX28 is connected to main office Ericsson MX-ONE,
MD110 or BusinessPhone via digital extension interface card, and converts
digital extension to VoIP extension, and keeping all PBX functionallity
that the digitial extension had. That digital extension can be accessed
via internet using
other DEX28 with physical DTS, or alternativelly by DEX28 SoftpPhon emulating
one of Ericsson DBC DTSs.
DEX28™ uses VoIP
(Voice
over IP) to transport both signalling and voice. DEX28 uses
advanced DSP (Digital Signal Processing) algorithms for voice compression and echo
cancellation while keeping the best quality and without noticable delay.
